A hovel is defined as the human condition.

I was obsessed with conspiracies about the assassination of the Romanov's and impostors of Anastasia (namely Anna Anderson) and brother Alexei.

I was obsessed for rather a while before I decided that Anna Anderson was not Anastastia and most likely, Ana and Alexei had their bodies dissolved with acid :-(

I came to the same conclusion too. I think it's hilarious how there were and are so many impostors though. It's also a psychological condition to believe you're someone famous and make the whole world know. But it's mostly just a munchausen attention-whoring fetish. xD

I too used to be obsessed with the Romonov scandal (also, Louis the 17th (?) who dissappeared/ body was lost after the french revolution.)

Omg serious... I gotta look that one up, I don't know much about the French Revolution. I only know about the lead up to it and I know everything about Marie Antionette cuz I did a project on her for Year 12 History.

yeah I did it for cambridge Hist last year, Marie and Louis 16th son, Louis (cause they were creative with names like that) was imprisoned with their daughter for a while.

she was (crap it's been awhile since I studied this lol) about nine or ten and he was a few years younger, so she used to try and remind him who their parents were and stuff, because the revolutionaries were trying to brainwash them, at least according to her when she was reinstated and her son, Louis the 18th made king after the fall of the revolution and the turn of the century.

So then Louis (17th) was taken out of the cell with his sister and dissappers off the historical radar. A month or so later leaders of the revolution come out and say he's been executed, but their is no record of it, or a body anywhere, or even a hint that it was done secretly (as with the Romonovs)

And it comes down to this;
a) the revolution was already at the height of it's power so if they were going to kill him there would have been no need to do it in secret.
b) they had already estabished without the influence of his sister that it was easy enough for them to make him forget who he was.
c) the french were always was more scittish about killing off their royals than the russians, they only did in Marie because everyone disspised her and she was crowned queen.
d)They let his sister and fellow heir to the thrown live.

It's really quite weird that more peole don't know about it because it's actully way more likely that he survived than Anastasia, or Alexi (her brother who some people also believed survived) yet far more people are interested in them.

I only found out because I was interested in Anastasia and my friend in the class showed me all the stuff on Louis.
